On January 28, 2021, the New Jersey Climate Change Alliance continued with its virtual series in lieu of an in-person conference due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This event was the fourth in this series, featuring Lisa Jackson, Apple's VP for Environment, Policy and Social Initiatives in a conversation on The Business of Climate Action. Ms. Jackson was joined by Mark Mauriello, Director of Environmental Affairs and Planning, Edgewood Properties and a former Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection. As a former EPA Administrator and NJDEP Commissioner, Ms. Jackson reflected on government leadership and the opportunities for intersection with business as well as communities.

New Jersey Climate Change Alliance members with Governors James J. Florio and Tom Kean

NJ Climate Change Alliance Honorary Co-chair and former Governor James J. Florio passed away September 25, 2022. Governor Florio was a tireless champion of the environment during his eight terms in Congress and as New Jersey’s 49th governor. He continued to champion environmental issues and many others throughout his lifetime. Our Alliance has been privileged to have his thoughtful counsel and unwavering support since our founding. He, along with Honorary Co-chair Governor Thomas Kean, accepted the 2018 Coastal and Ocean Champions Award from Monmouth University on behalf of the Alliance. The life and legacy of Governor James J.
